TATE MODERN

On our first night in London we went to the Tate Modern, we spent pretty much the whole of the evening exploring there as it was so HUGE. Filled up with beautiful paintings and sculptures, and a balcony overlooking the river to, it was the perfect spot to see the sun set!

My favourite piece there was the Sabra and Shatila Massacre, 1982-83, by the Iraqi artist Dia Azzawi. Here’s a brief article about the piece of work and what he was inspired by when creating the piece.

Sadly we weren’t able to take photos of the Damien Hirst exhibition, but it was the best thing that I’ve ever saw. Unfortnaly the skull wasn’t there no more and had being returned to its owner, but my favourite was the butterfly room and the inside of the cow!
